I am stuck in Beirut. My family is stuck in Beirut. No antibiotics, no electricity, less and less gasoline. No way out.
My nephews and nieces cry every time they hear a bomb. They are afraid to die.
The family of a colleague was stuck in Tyre next to the building of the fire brigade that Israeli planes bombed and brought down yesterday evening, killing more than 16 people.
He was going mad, crying, shouting and praying until an hour later when his son got through to him telling him that they were in the shelter and that they are alright.
Refugees from the southern suburbs of Beirut and from the South of Lebanon are seeking shelter anywhere they can in public gardens, schools and empty buildings.

Last Wednesday I was with my girlfriend at the opening of a new trendy outdoor club. Women were dancing on the bar and men were smoking their cigars to the sound of house music. I spent last night with crying children and anxious mothers to the sound
of Israeli bombs.

This is a tragedy. Innocent Lebanese are paying the price of regional conflicts once again.
Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Israel are killing us and the world is watching.

Say thanks to Hezbollah. You can only blame yourself for letting them take over your country.

Can you fuck off please? Stop blaming US, the Lebanese people, for 'doing nothing!'. When was the last time YOU did anything for the world, huh? Fucking idiot! If you're going to keep the same shit up "Hey its your fault whatever" every time someone posts about bombs falling on their head, or every time someone posts because they are worried about family, WE DONT WANT TO HEAR IT TWENTY MILLION TIMES OVER.

First of all, my sympathy to you and especially to all the children of Lebanon. Then, however, the sad truth.

For years Hizbollah was killing Israelis from you territory, and you had no problems with that. Your Government was providing diplomatic cover for those murderers. Now you complain that Israely is hurting you by protecting themselved from Hizbollah - not a word of sympathy to those killed or kidnaped on Israeli side, not even for children. That is disgusting.

Stop being victims of everyone, be responsible for what is happening in your country. You must apprehend and prosecute murderers of others, because they are murderers, even if that means you loose some of your friends while doing so.

I will not comment the last entry about the germans. Obviously there are still stupid people allowed on the net.
What I will say is that every time an israeli says that the lebanese had to do something before all this happened, I tell them one thing. Please don't forget that israel is backed by no less than the USA ! Lebanon is backed by.. lebanon ..
hizbollah is backed by Syria and Iran.
So please, tell me what we could have done.........
so before going and writing such stuff as "be responsible for what is happening in your country. You must apprehend and prosecute murderers of others", know that the lebanese people survived so far in history because of the lebanese people's WILL and love on life, and why not, faith in jesus and mohammed and jahvé.
We are not backed by the number 1 nation of the planet.
but at least, we can be proud about being lebanese, and still here.

It only gets worse. I read on Lebanese Bloggers:

President Lahoud has officially claimed that he supports the "Resistance" and will not give up Sayyid Nasrallah.

If true, that makes the sovereign state of Lebanon a direct party to this war - not just a weak government responsible in the sense that it cannot control its territory and that the bad guys are participants in the government, but in the very real sense that the head of state has signed the country on to the war.

May God preserve the Lebanese who don't support Hezbollah!

he didn't say that.
I thought the israelis were more intelligent that to take everything published on a blog as a proven fact... a bit disappointed really...
The president said that we stand united against the aggression. that's all.

one advice though, don't listen to what our dear president says. he is the representative of syria in lebanon.
Did you notice that all the foreign politicians meet with our prime minister, and not the president ? sad really, but it's like that.
he can say whatever he likes, it's been a while he didn't speak in the lebanese name.
Listen to the prime minister if any.

Terry Crane, you seem like a reasonable guy, do you really want to discuss some of the issues you mention and maybe get answers?

Just as a start I don't want to argue over things you have might be informed about can you please lookup and have some references on the number of israely civilians killed by Hizbolla terrorists since Israel pulled out their army from south Lebanon in 2000.

The number of civilians killed on both sides in the last 5 days of conflict and the nationality of the first 50 civilian casualties in the last confrontation.

Also can you please tell me what is the purpose of Hizbolla (should be easy to find) i mean what do they want before stpping their jihad war or whatever they call it.

Finally try to find some info about how long has the Lebanese government been trying to solve the Hizbolla issue , ie how many years have been doing nothing about the issue (as yuo say)

Really I am not just throwing questions at you, i just want to make sure you can enough to have enough infomration and discuss my points. Reply that you care to chek this info and if you do in a little while I will try to explain the other side's point of you in case you really wanna know.

Every time someone tries to think of disarming hizbullah in lebanon, directly or indirectly, they get bombed beyond recognition, always by syria. So why the hell doesn't israel go bomb syria, then both lebanon and israel will be happy. We will get rid of the head of the snake and hiozbullah will not exist anymore.

it is sad to read all these comments coming from people well put behind a PC. to the ones that beleive this is hurting hezbollah, it is false and only innocent people are dying like always, that is why they are still here and stronger. we have always fought the wrong people and blamed it on the innocents.history showed that mercy has blessed many of us. how does it feels to be on the destructor and killing side. well, sincerly, it is a shame. if you take a step back and think with your heart and not your well disguise anger, you will sick for peace and mercy for those children and women that could be us tomorrow and correct me if i am wrong was us once.

It's the same in here (Israel). well, maybe not the same cause I understand that israel has more fire power.but all of the north is in shelters. there is shortage there in food and basic ingridiants. people are dying all over the place. just minuets ago 3 people were killed by a rocket. every day bring loss to both sides. it's not fun for any of us. please realise that. I'm sorry to see israeli people that come to those blogs and speak the way that some of them do. I feel for all you in beirut, and for north of israel and for the poor soldiers that are captured and their family. its all bad. I wish non of these would happen. but I also believe that hizbolla has got to far. we have to survive and I really believe that in this situation evey country would do the same. I believe there is no attempt to hit civilians (which is more than I can say about hizbolla)but it's near to impossible.. It's very sad. I don't see us as enemies. I don't even know you..
I wish peace to all of us. I wish we all could be just neighbours and live peacfully. amen.

How rude crude, discourteous, impolite; primitive, simple, unsophisticated; harsh, severe!
Yes, I am talking to the world. How can you say to Israel that the Israeli reaction to this situation is exaggerated? How easy is that for those countries to talk!
Think about it, put your self in our shoes (situation) - What would you have done if your country got attack?

Not just attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Kidnapping soldiers
- Killing soldiers
- Killing innocent people
- Rockets, missile (whatever you want to call it) from the North to the South, and who knows if may be in the center of Israel (lets hope not).
- Suicide bomb (explosion), and much much, more.
- Also, young children are out there throwing big rocks on our Israeli soldiers at the Israeli border. They Israeli soldiers can't do anything, because the world is always on our neck. How would you feel?
Now, to make things clear or to remind (World), Israel does not want a war with any of those countries!!!!!

We gave away:
-We remove all of the people from Gush Katif (I am ashamed how we send away our own people for what?)
-We had an agreement with the Arab (Oslo Accords)
-We gave away medication, food, weather, electricity, fuel, weapon, and much, much more.
-We let the prisoners see their own families and lawyers.

The list is longer! However, I think we made our point!

We love Israel, and we want to live here in peace (state of not being at war; silence, quietness). So, we gave and we gave and they only thing that we got from them is a slap in our face. It hurts!

Now, the Israeli government must do whatever it takes to protect the people in Israel ( nation!)

Excuse us if we are killing innocent people, after all they made the first move to Israel (bad move) and they sympathize with their own LEADER!

How come the government let Hozballa enter the Lebanon country? Why the nation is helping the Hozballa?
If anyone allows terrorists to operate within their country they can expect a war - surely?

Thank you,
Israeli citizen
The State of Israel

You condemn Israel for invading Lebanon. You say Lebanon is not responsible for Hezbollah. I want to tell you that Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese government, and If Lebanon is a sovereign country, so it is responsible for its actions and to its borders, responsibility Lebanon is refusing to take.
Terrorism is a bad thing, says France, and adds that a response to terrorism on France can include nuclear attack (said by president Shirak not so long ago) . But – if terrorism is targeting Israel and Israeli citizens, well, they can live with it. After all, the Muslims just want to protest the occupation. Let me remind you: Israel left Lebanon more than six years ago. It withdrew from Gaza almost a year ago, but in return to this steps Israel gets rocket attacks to its civilian territories. Don’t try to say Israel attacks Gaza and Lebanon over 3 kidnapped soldiers. It is only part of the big picture in which terror groups launch missiles on populated areas. What would you do if your cities were attacked in this way? Sit and do nothing? I don’t think so!!!
I just want to tell all of you my European friends, we are not the last address of Islam’s fundamentalism, we are just getting hit first since we’re on the front line with the Arab world.

You encourage recent attacks on Israeli cities and town from rockets launched from Gaza and from Lebanon, by ignoring the fact those launches even happen and are taking lives of Israeli civilians. By only covering the Palestinian and Lebanese casualties, by not condemning Terrorism and abductions on a sovereign land, you encourage more actions like these. And by doing so, you call them upon your doorstep, from within your society. There are millions of Muslims in Europe just waiting for a call upon Jihad. The feel Allah is with them now. We call upon you to wake up, Europe, and face the problems. Try to find alternative energy sources, like the Japanese do, since they got fed up with the Arab world “oil politics”. The Arab world buy your silence with oil, and you swallow it.
Another point for your thoughts:
Why when Japan wants to launch a preemptive strike on North Korea, which only tested missiles is not condemned, but when Palestinians or Lebanese invade Israel and take lives, (of civilians too if you check closely not just on the headlines), and Israel in acts of self defense attack those territories, is seen as an aggressor?!
By trying to look deep into the situation and condemning such acts as they begin, demanding the full stop of missiles launching to Israeli territories, Israel could avoid the measures it is taking now, saving hundreds of lives for all sides involved.

Yes, what is taking place in your country sucks. But don't blame the U.S. government, blame the the Lebanese government! They allowed hezzbolah to virtually own the south, and now the entire country is paying the price.

This is the cost of harboring terrorists!

Good luck to you and yours.

I am happy, many Labanese die. We have a right to self defense same as US. We don't run away, we will come and kill all Lebanese. It’ couldn’t be stop. I will make you like Hariri’s death. There will be no future for Lebanon. We will make our dream came true.
Don’t fight with Isreal, leave Lebanon now.

Chinese UN observer, Du Zhaoyu is friend of Hezbollah, he is terrorist. He should be kill. Our government will never pay any to him. So many problem with those UN observer. They all should leave or be kick out. We are going to take the land and make more settlement and peace.
We need more growing pro-Hezbollah sentiment going on, the story must be carry on no ending and more destruction can be made. The fight would be extend and new weapon will be on test. So far we are happy with the destruction. We will made sure some Hezbollah carry on the fight, there would be no end of story.

Our laser bomb is very accurate. We see you clear, we lock on you from sky like Da Zhaoyu. What UN resolutions are you looking at, this is Israel war resolutions. We control of U.Nations. We don't talk with Hezbollah, we don't hear from Hezbollah. Your bite, we attack and attack kill all. Amen…..

We are very angry to see this happening today.
Is it right for Israel to say sorry when each time bomb drops on Lebanese civilians? Repeat and repeat. It wasn’t a mistake. Are they nuting? It seems same as Iraq war. Do Israeli war plane avoid killing civilian? No, many-many old man, handicap, children and woman trap in bombed building, bomb shelter and apartment. Who guided the Israeli guide bomb and bunker-buster bomb? Many poor people, they couldn’t leave; they don’t have money, taxi charge up to $1,000 to Beirut. They don’t know where to go, no jungle to hide. Who are going to take care off this people? I even hear some children don’t have any shoes.
Even Doctor house destroyed by bomb.

Angry to see way Israel behaves is totally un democracy. They call Ghengis Khan of Middle East. King of Middle East terror. Remember how Ghengis Khan attacks Beijing. Has anyone survived?

Angry, to see the way U.Nation behave wait and see. Israeli is starting with the conquest and building his empire in Middle East. I am surprise to say. Is this the way Bush administration try to spreads democracy to Middle East?

Should UN HQ move to France or China? I agree, are you!! Something inside is not right, UN is under Bush controls. Bush gives green light to Israel. Bush send weapon to Israel. Bush send navy sub to Israel. Bush sends International Assistance to help Lebanese. What Bush trying to do? Helping, spying and destroy? Bush administration is making lot of money from both sides.

Many people here like us opposed Hezbollah, but now had change the mind. Hezbollah has is own way to defense his poor Lebanon. It is not surprise to understand Hezbollah. We don’t see US and Israel as democracy nation. They are the creator of terror link.

Chinese Brother
